Here is the Houston Texans 2024 season schedule | KLBK | KAMC

HOUSTON (KIAH) — The Houston Texans will play four prime-time games during the 2024 season, including a Christmas Day game against the Baltimore Ravens and a Monday night game against their in-state rival, the Dallas Cowboys.

The 2024 NFL schedule was released Wednesday and the Texans are among the teams that will be featured on several national television broadcasts, including two Sunday Night Football games and a Monday Night Football game.

Under head coach DeMeco Ryans, the Texans hope to build on a successful 2023 campaign that saw them go 10-7 – a seven-win improvement from the 2022 season – and win the AFC South Division championship, as well as a victory against Cleveland. Browns in the AFC Wild Card playoff round.

The team’s star power is why the Texans are featured in so many prime-time games in 2024. Quarterback CJ Stroud has become the heart and soul of the team and was named AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year. Linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was also named the AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Houston will play a Christmas Day game against Baltimore at NRG Stadium, which is a rematch of last season’s AFC divisional playoff game that the Ravens beat Houston 34-10 in Baltimore. The game will be streamed on Netflix, which has a three-year deal with the NFL to stream Christmas Day games.

Week 1 will see the Texans open the season in Indianapolis to take on the Colts. The Texans had to travel to Indy in the final week of the season last year to get a win over the Colts and clinch the AFC South title.

The second week of the season will see the Texans return to prime time with a Sunday night game against the Chicago Bears at NRG Stadium. Next, Houston will travel to Minnesota and Jacksonville in back-to-back weeks.

Week 5 will see the Buffalo Bills come to Houston, and this game will be important for new wide receiver Stephon Diggs, who will be playing against his former team after being traded during the offseason.

That’s followed by a Week 6 trip to New England and a Week 7 trip to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to face the Packers before hosting Indianapolis at NRG in Week 8.

Next, the Texans have three straight prime-time games, starting with a Thursday night game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Halloween night. That was followed by a Sunday night game at home against the Detroit Lions, who nearly won the NFC title game.

Then on November 18, Houston will travel to Arlington to take on the Cowboys for a Monday night battle between the two Texas NFL teams.

The Texans will host the Tennessee Titans the Sunday after Thanksgiving, followed by a road game in Jacksonville. Then, after a bye week, Houston will travel to Miami to face the Dolphins on December 15.

Houston will face the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in a game Saturday, Dec. 21, before the short week to face Baltimore on Christmas Day, followed by a road game in Nashville against the Titans to finish the regular season.

For the preseason, Houston will face Chicago in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game on Thursday, August 1 in Canton, Ohio. Next, the Texans play at Pittsburgh on Saturday, August 9, then have home games Saturday night against the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams on August 17 and 24, respectively.
