3 people killed by northwest Houston homeowner in attempted home invasion

Three people are dead after being shot by a homeowner during an alleged home invasion attempt in northwest Houston.

The incident occurred at 10580 Hammerly Boulevard in the Gessner Grove neighborhood and was reported at 3:12 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene and another person involved in the alleged invasion was arrested at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.
