4 Buffalo Bills who made a splash in the final week of OTA before minicamp

It’s strange to think that a former Defensive Rookie of the Year, eight-time Pro Bowler, has something to prove, but that’s the situation Von Miller seems to find himself in. The Bills signed him to a massive contract ahead of the 2022 season and Miller got off to a hot start with eight sacks in 11 games before suffering a torn ACL.

He would return during last season, but looked nothing like the same player and had only three total tackles and no sacks in 12 games. This offseason, Miller agreed to a new contract to help the Bills with their salary cap space, but it was also a sign that he’s confident that this coming season he’ll return to that All-Pro form. He accepted less guaranteed dollars, but with incentives he could end up making more in 2024.

This could end up working in his favor as he looks good through OTAs, including in Tuesday’s practice. According to Matt Parrino, Miller showed much of the quickness and quickness he’s been lacking since his injury.

Miller had two sacks that day, which made life difficult for veteran tackle La’el Collins. He flew off the edge and missed Collins as he headed in to land for a sack on quarterback Josh Allen.”

If Miller can play like he did before his injury, the pass rush and defense as a whole will receive a big boost this season.
