Man dead after stabbing in Hartford: Police – NBC Connecticut

A 38-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Hartford on Thursday evening has died.

According to police, 911 calls came in about a large fight on New Britain Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene around 8:25 p.m., William Jemison of Hartford was unconscious. He had apparently suffered a stab wound, police said.

People at the scene attempted to save Jemison by performing CPR. He was then taken to Hartford Hospital, where he died, police said.

Investigators have some videos of the incident and are working to identify the people involved. Police said it appears they knew each other.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Units responded and are investigating.
