May 28 Harris County Primary Runoff Results

HOUSTON – Harris County voters cast ballots in the 2024 primary runoff elections on May 28 to select which candidates will appear on the November ballot for specific races.

Not all Republican voters in Harris County will have a contest during their vote in the May 28 primary runoff election.

Only Republicans living in Congressional District 7 or Congressional District 29 will be able to vote.

All Democratic voters in Harris County have at least three countywide contests on their ballot:

  • Judge, 14th District Court of Appeals, Place 3

  • Judge of the 486th Judicial District

Registered Democratic primary voters in the affected precincts can also vote for:

  • Texas State Senate District 15

  • State Representative District 139

  • State Representative District 146

  • Police Quarter 5

  • County Tax Assessor-Collector

Harris Place 2 Appraisal District Director

A primary runoff election occurs when no candidate receives enough votes to win the primary election.

The winners of Tuesday’s runoff will be placed on their party’s ballots in November’s general election.

Polling stations open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on election day.
