Early morning shooting in Monticello leaves one dead and one hospitalized

According to Monticello police, an early morning shooting left a woman dead and a man hospitalized.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in front of Building 2 of the Sleepy Hollow apartment complex on Terri Lane.

According to authorities, the vehicle in question had driven into a parking lot when shots were fired.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition.

The names and ages of the victims are not disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
