Glendale police chase ends in three-car crash, driver arrested

A dramatic video released Wednesday shows the chaos of a chase that left a police officer injured and ended in a three-car crash. The chase began near downtown Bayshore in Glendale and ended with the crash at the corner of Green Bay and Hampton avenues. Police arrested 34-year-old Pierre Webb of Milwaukee. According to court documents, on May 11, Webb was driving a white Kia with stolen license plates. The Kia then fled west on Silver Spring and then south on Green Bay Avenue, swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid stop signs near Green Bay Avenue and Hampton Avenue. Two other vehicles were hit when the Kia crossed into oncoming traffic. The occupants of the two vehicles hit suffered minor injuries. Glendale police said the chase ended at over 90 miles per hour. Body camera video shows Webb getting out of the car and running toward the nearby Mobil gas station. A Glendale police officer collided with an oncoming patrol car during the chase. The video shows him falling to the ground, complaining about his injured back. Another Glendale police officer catches up with Webb at the gas station. The officer shocked Webb with a stun gun and then handcuffed him. “I’m telling you, if anyone takes these handcuffs off me, I’m going to be charged again and I’m going to knock you out,” Webb said to an officer in the video. Webb is currently in custody in Milwaukee County facing seven charges, including recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer and injuring an officer.
