Houston ISD protests continue at West Briar Middle School

Editor’s note: The video above was originally published on May 15.

Thursday morning’s protest is the third such protest this week and frustrated parents are working to make their voices heard.

“We’ve heard about custodians, teachers, principals, but things are a little different when it comes to your own school,” said Myeasha Craven, president of the St. George PTO.

HISD Superintendent Mike Miles said the decision not to renew teachers or principals at the end of the year is nothing new. He cited data collected throughout the year from spot observations and educational exams.

Many parents disagree with the district’s evaluation of principals.

We’re told families should gather at West Briar Elementary School starting around 7:30 a.m. This story will be updated as we learn more.
