Michigan State Police investigate death of toddler in Eaton Rapids

EATON RAPIDS, Mich. (WILX) – Michigan State Police are conducting a death investigation after a toddler was found unconscious in his crib on Monday.

Police and emergency responders responded to a home on Plains Road in Eaton Rapids just before 11 a.m. on Aug. 12 after parents reported that a 1-and-a-half-year-old boy was found unconscious in his crib. Michigan State Police confirmed to News 10 that they are conducting a death investigation that will include an autopsy.

“This is an ongoing investigation and there is nothing more to add at this time,” said Lt. Rene Gonzalez, spokesman for the Michigan State Police.
