Buffalo man convicted in fatal shooting on East Ferry

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been convicted in connection with a fatal shooting on East Ferry Street in 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

Louis Goforth, 40, was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison. Goforth fatally shot Mario Saddler, 39, in the 200 block of East Ferry around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 22, 2023. Saddler died at the scene.

Goforth pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter in February. He will also be subject to five years of post-release supervision.
