Houston Police to host summer hiring expo on Saturday, June 22

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Are you looking for a rewarding career focused on serving our community? The Houston Police Department will host its Summer Hiring Expo this Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Officers receive a competitive salary with regular pay increases, city-subsidized insurance, 11 paid holidays with an additional 35 to 40 paid days off per year, tuition reimbursement, as well as pension and a retirement plan with early retirement options.

No prior law enforcement experience is required. Once hired, you will attend our paid police academy for 6 months and obtain your peace officer license. You will receive specialized training from some of the best law enforcement officers.
