Houston Council Member Kamin Kicks Off Pride Month with Chamber of Commerce

HOUSTON (KIAH) – The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is hosting the third annual Families with Pride celebration. This event is sponsored by Abbie Kamin, board member. This is a free event taking place at Discovery Green on Saturday, June 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Kamin leads a celebration for LGBTQIA+ children, families and allies during Houston Pride Month. Activities include live performances, art projects, story time, mobile gym, face painting, photo booth, yard games, pride exhibit, playgrounds and much more.

Additionally, The Proud Puppy Pawty at the Discovery Green Dog Run invites residents to bring their pets and awards prizes for the most creative pet costumes. It starts at 9 a.m.
