Fearing Middle East conflicts, airlines are changing their routes

Fears of a major conflict in the Middle East have prompted international airlines to cancel flights to the region or avoid affected airspace.

Airlines such as Air France-KLM, Lufthansa Group and United Airlines have made significant adjustments to their flight schedules, including suspending flights to destinations such as Tel Aviv, Beirut and Amman and avoiding Iranian and Iraqi airspace.

Among the airlines that have made changes is Air France, which has extended the suspension of flights between Paris and Beirut until mid-August, while the Lufthansa Group has decided to stop flights to several cities in the Middle East until August 21. US carrier United Airlines has suspended flights to Tel Aviv for the foreseeable future. These measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers amid escalating regional tensions.
