Florida man charged with activities with minor WNY girl

A Florida man accused of coming to Western New York more than once to date a minor has been arrested in a federal criminal complaint, U.S. Attorney Trini E. announced. Ross.

Jose Francisco Cardoso Tehovnik, 21, of Orlando, made an initial appearance in federal court in New Jersey, where he was apprehended, and will later be returned to Western New York, said Ross.

He is charged with enticement of a minor and producing, receiving and possessing illegal images of children.

Prosecutors accuse Tehovnik of making contact in February with a minor in the Western District of New York via Instagram and Snapchat, and of exchanging nude photos.

Prosecutors also accused Tehovnik of traveling to New York state in April to have sex with the girl, then returning on June 4, picking up the girl and being returned to New Jersey, where authorities took them both into custody.
