Massachusetts man stabs 4 girls in AMC movie theater and 2 others at McDonald’s

A knife-wielding madman involved in a murder case stabbed four girls in a movie theater on Saturday and then injured two more at McDonald’s.

The unprovoked attacks began around 6 p.m. at AMC Braintree 10, when the armed suspect entered the complex, walked past the ticket counter and entered one of the theaters without paying.

The suspect stabbed the four girls, aged between 9 and 17, without saying a word, Braintree police said on Saturday evening.

The girls were taken to Boston-area hospitals and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to CBS Boston, an AMC employee who was working at the concession stand at the time of the first stabbing described the man as wearing “an oversized trench coat, sunglasses and a long blonde wig.”

After fleeing the multiplex theater in a black SUV, the man drove over 30 miles to Plymouth, MA, where he was believed to have been involved in another “similar attack” at a McDonald’s.

At approximately 7:09 p.m., Massachusetts State Police officers responded to the McDonald’s at Rt. 3 Park and Ride in Plymouth, MA, where they found a 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man suffering from apparent stab wounds.

They were also treated in a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

“Preliminary investigation indicates a likely connection to a previous incident at a Braintree movie theater in which four juveniles sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” Massachusetts State Police said.

After failing to stop, the armed maniac engaged police in a chase before crashing in Sandwich, Massachusetts.

He was taken into custody and is currently being treated in hospital for his injuries.

The suspected attacker is also said to be connected to murder investigations in Deep River, Connecticut.

“At approximately 3:36 p.m., Connecticut State Police Troop F – Westbrook responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in the Town of Deep River,” CSP said.

One person was found dead at the scene and “a suspect in this investigation has been taken into custody in the State of Massachusetts and there is no active threat to the public.”

Connecticut State Police had already issued an alert for the suspect on Saturday, describing him as “armed and dangerous” and carrying a 10-inch knife, CBS Boston reported.
