UPDATE

The three siblings who were taken from their home after their mother was allegedly stabbed were flown to the hospital following a rollover accident on the DC Beltway, an NBC affiliate station in Virginia Beach reports. The mother’s condition is currently unclear and our affiliate station reports that a child was also stabbed.

The crash occurred around 9:05 a.m. Thursday on the outer beltway of Interstate 495 at the Branch Avenue on-ramp, according to the county. VSP attempted to pull the driver over in Fairfax County on I-95 near the 166-mile marker; however, instead of stopping, the driver continued driving, leading troopers on a pursuit. He eventually lost control and crashed as he headed north onto the Beltway into Maryland.

This comes just hours after an Amber Alert was issued for 5-year-old Zayir Plummer, 7-year-old Zayin Plummer and 16-month-old Za’riyah Plummer, all of whom were last seen at Jay Are Court in Virginia Beach around 8:48 p.m. on August 14. The Amber Alert has since been lifted.

Virginia State Police said Zayir was last seen wearing gray pants and a black jacket, Zayin was wearing rust-colored pants and a light blue shirt, and Zariyah may have been wearing pink tights and a Trolls dress.

State police believe the children were abducted by 36-year-old Dana Demetrius Plummer, who is about 5’10” tall and weighs about 175 pounds. The agency did not say what he was wearing.
