Habitat for Humanity Buffalo and Moog Break Ground on New Construction at 154 Sprenger Avenue

Habitat for Humanity Buffalo (H4HB) continues to break new ground by committing to partnering with many community entities. Recently, H4HB partnered with Moog to build an affordable home in the Schiller Park neighborhood. A groundbreaking ceremony was held, marking the beginning of the new construction that will one day see a grateful and proud family occupy the home.

“Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony is a testament to the power of community and the impact of corporate partnerships,” said Christopher Kennedy, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Buffalo. “Moog’s sponsorship and volunteer efforts demonstrate a deep commitment to improving the lives of families in our community. We are grateful for their support and look forward to seeing this home come to life.”

The new build, located at 154 Sprenger Ave, will involve teams of Moog volunteers working alongside Habitat Buffalo staff and other community volunteers.

“Moog has always been committed to making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work,” said Joe Alfieri, president of Moog’s Space and Defense Group. “This partnership with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo allows us to directly contribute to improving the quality of life of a deserving family. We are proud to be a part of this project and look forward to seeing the difference it will make.”

Construction of the new building at 154 Sprenger Avenue will take place over several months, with the goal of a completion date of April 2025.
