ArDOT closes Jonesboro Road

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – The Arkansas Department of Transportation announced Friday it will close a Jonesboro road as work continues on a new bypass.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, May 13, Prospect Road will be temporarily closed between Craighead County Road 901 (Kathleen Street) and Easley Lane.

Weather permitting, the road will remain closed until Friday, May 24th.

During the closure, ArDOT said crews would be conducting construction work on the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive widening project, which will connect Interstate 555 and Highway 49.

Drivers should exercise caution when driving in construction areas.
