Buffalo Marathon Road Closures to Know About

BUFFALO, NY — The Buffalo Marathon begins this weekend and will bring people from all over the world to the race.

In an effort to prepare for race weekend, the Buffalo Police Department has spread out road closures for people to be vigilant if traveling in or around the city on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The road closures will go into effect at noon Friday and end at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Very large crowds are expected and police are encouraging motorists to avoid the area and take alternative routes.

The Buffalo Marathon will host events throughout next weekend.

Road closures will begin at midday on Friday May 24 until 3 p.m. on Sunday May 26.
