Acting Chief Operating Officer John Middleton said he was excited about the change, saying: “This operational change is not just about convenience; the new schedules reflect our commitment to making the material accessible to the public. Whether it’s research, access to technology, participation in our programs, or simply finding a quiet place to study or read, we are here to serve the community.

In addition to extended hours, HPL continues to offer a wide range of services, including:

  • Free Wi-Fi and computer access
  • An extensive collection of books, e-books, audiobooks, DVDs and an object library
  • Educational and recreational programs for all ages
