Just weeks before a six-year-old New Jersey girl died in a bizarre badminton accident, she asked her mother a scary question.

Little Lucy Morgan asked her mother Bethany “how to come to God and be saved” two weeks before part of a splintered badminton racket pierced her skull while on a family vacation, according to the obituary provided to The Post on Saturday by her father James, a pastor.

“Bethany explained it to her and offered to pray together, but in her characteristic independence, Lucy wanted to do it herself,” her obituary said.

“She went to her room and prayed to God… Later she kept a diary of it and expressed her love for God in words and pictures,” it continued.

The tragic incident occurred on June 1, when the racket held by Lucy’s ten-year-old brother broke during a downswing while the family was vacationing in Limerick, Maine.

A sharp piece of the handle hit the girl on the head, causing a catastrophic brain injury.

According to her obituary, Lucy loved Chick-fil-A, drawing, dancing, soccer, going to church, and spending time with her family.

“Lucy’s loving soul touched the hearts of all who knew her,” it continued. “Although her time on earth was brief, her impact was profound as her story spread. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends and will be remembered forever.”

After the accident, Lucy was flown by helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she was taken to the waiting operating room.

To relieve the pressure on her brain, part of her skull was removed.

After the procedure, the Morgans were told that her brain function had virtually stopped and it was unlikely that she would ever recover.

Funeral services for Lucy will be held on June 15 at 11 a.m. at Green Pond Bible Chapel in Rockaway Township.

A GoFundMe campaign to support the family has already raised more than $100,000.
