Harrisville Police Assist with Cybercrime Task Force Investigation

HARRISVILLE – On June 6, Harrisville Police announced their participation in a coordinated operation with the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department that resulted in the execution of several search warrants along Chesham Road.

The police presence was part of an ongoing task force investigation.

Authorities have not released any details of the investigation or any details of possible suspects or charges.

Harrisville police stressed that at no time was there a threat to public safety.

Local residents may have noticed that police were on an increased presence the day the arrest warrants were served.

Local authorities urge the population to remain vigilant and report all cases of child exploitation.
