Buffalo Council passes budget ordinance on second reading – Sheridan Media

The Buffalo City Council, at its regular meeting this week, approved its annual appropriation, or budget ordinance, on second reading.

Ordinance No. 1417 approves a budget of approximately $17.6 million for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

It shows the City’s general expenses of approximately $633,000; Protective Services at $2.3 million; a street budget of $1.2 million; recreational budget of $427,000; Water at $1.7 million; wastewater at $733,000; sanitation at $664,000; miscellaneous equipment at $288,000; Capital improvements at $9.2 million; and external and affiliated agencies at $418,000.

There was no change between the first and second reading.

The ordinance will have to pass a third reading before being adopted.
