Eight people arrested in Burien drug raid; fentanyl bricks and 4,000 cash found

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, detectives from the 4th District Special Enforcement Team (SET) executed arrest warrants at two locations in Burien in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

The investigation revealed that members of a drug trafficking organization (DTO) were distributing narcotics to customers at a local warehouse and near Burien City Hall. After over 100 hours of surveillance, investigators executed several warrants and discovered that the DTO was manufacturing narcotics, including fentanyl powder pressed into kilo-sized blocks.

The operation resulted in eight arrests and seven arrests for drug possession with intent to resell, drug manufacturing and drug conspiracy. Among those arrested were two fugitives from Oregon with prior drug offenses and a man who had warrants out for his arrest in Seattle for prior drug offenses. At their first court appearance, one of the suspects was released, while the others were held on bail ranging from $200,000 to $300,000.

The following evidence was secured:

  • 22,788 Fentanyl M-30 pills
  • 19 pounds of fentanyl powder
  • 1.36 pounds of cocaine
  • 263.6 grams of methamphetamine
  • 168 grams of heroin
  • 156.3 grams of crack cocaine
  • $104,000 in cash
  • 1 hydraulic kilo press

“We commend our detectives for their tireless efforts to disrupt the drug supply in our community,” police said.
