THE Major League Baseball the season continues this evening with a match between the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves. The match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Start time and that will be broadcast live on ESPN. Currently the MLB Odds Going into the matchup, the host Braves are favored to win here at home.

MLB Odds
Atlanta-120
Total: O 9 races (PAIR), U 9 races (-120)

Atlanta has been pretty solid at home this season, winning 15 of the 21 games played so far this season. San Diego has been strong on the road, going 13-8, which isn’t bad at all. Yesterday’s match took place in the rain and this evening there should be no weather problems.

I like San Diego to start Yu Darvish (3-1, 2.43) here in this one. He’s only made two away starts this season, but he’s been quite effective, which I hope continues in this competition tonight. So far in two May starts, Darvish has yet to produce an earned run after 12 innings of work, striking out 12. He was solid.

Bryce Elder (1-1, 4.79) pitches for the Braves. His splits certainly favor being at home (1.50 ERA vs. 9.35 away) but I like that the Padres are able to piece together an offense tonight. However, neither team has been very offensive recently.

So this looks like a game that could be underperforming. For that reason, I’ll trust Darvish here to keep the Braves off-balance and the Padres in the game. I like them to win tonight and getting a solid prize helps.
