Man arrested for raping and murdering masseuse for demanding extra money in Gurugram

Gurugram: A man was arrested for allegedly raping and strangling a 23-year-old woman to death at a guest house near Jharsa village here in Haryana, police said on Sunday.

The masseuse, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was called to the guest house by 40-year-old Anil Pahal on Saturday evening, it was said.

Pahal, a local man, admitted that he killed the woman after a heated argument broke out between them because she demanded more money, police said.

Information about the body of a woman lying in a room of the guest house was received late Saturday evening, it was said.

According to police, Pahal said he worked as a customs broker in Delhi and had booked a room at the guest house for two days on September 6.

He claimed that he had booked the masseuse’s services online for Rs 5,000 on Saturday, but she demanded Rs 2,500 more, Gurugram police spokesman Sandeep Kumar said, adding that Pahal had been charged with rape and murder.
