BALTIMORE – For the remainder of the afternoon, skies will be partly cloudy across the region. It will be very warm and humid. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted areas along and east of I-95 where widespread to isolated severe storms may occur this afternoon.

Any storms may produce very heavy rainfall, which may result in localized flash flooding. In addition, gusty winds may cause isolated storm damage. The storm threat is expected to gradually decrease after sunset.

Afternoon highs will be near 32 degrees, but overnight temperatures will be cooler as a cold front moves through. Lows will drop to just under 15 degrees by Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday and for the rest of the week, the weather will be dominated by significantly lower humidity and sunshine. Highs on Tuesday afternoon will be between 25 and 25 degrees Celsius. Lows will drop to a good 10 degrees Celsius overnight from Tuesday to Thursday, giving the region an autumnal feel.

Highs will be around 27 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures around 27 degrees expected on Friday. No rain is forecast from Tuesday through next weekend. Temperatures will be a little warmer this weekend, with highs around 27 degrees on Saturday and temperatures around 27 to almost 32 degrees on Sunday.

Lows at night will gradually rise to 18 to 20 degrees. Heat and humidity are expected to return early next week, with highs reaching 32 degrees from Monday through midweek. The first chances of rain could arrive towards the end of this weekend, but it looks like we’re in for a prolonged dry spell across the region.
