LAFC-Houston Dynamo Match Due to Tropical Storm Beryl

LAFC-Houston Dynamo Match Due to Tropical Storm Beryl

Sunday’s match between Los Angeles FC and Houston Dynamo FC has been postponed due to inclement weather.

No make-up date has been announced.

The match was originally scheduled to start at 7:30pm local time, but with thunderstorms forecast, kick-off was moved forward by two hours.

That wasn’t enough to prevent severe thunderstorms from hitting the Houston area due to Tropical Storm Beryl. The game began with a break due to the weather, and fans were asked to take shelter in their vehicles or in the stadium concourse as lightning struck the area.

LAFC (13-4-4, 43 points) entered the day tied with Real Salt Lake for first place in the Western Conference, with a game in hand. They are undefeated in their last 10 games (9-0-1). Houston (8-7-6, 30 points) is in eighth place in the West.
