Police-involved shooting in Queens: 8-year-old dead, several others injured in stabbing in Jamaica apartment

JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) – An 8-year-old is dead and several others were injured after they were stabbed to death in an apartment in Jamaica, Queens.

At around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of an assault and were dispatched to an apartment at 94th Street and Sutphin Boulevard.

An 8-year-old boy was killed, and a mother and father were among the injured.

The NYPD is asking the public to avoid the area around 94th Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard due to the police investigation.
