Two dead in what Chapel Hill police call murder-suicide

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) – When Chapel Hill police responded to a 911 call about a shooting Monday afternoon, they found a dead man and woman inside a home.

When officers arrived at the home in the 2700 block of Homestead Avenue, they found the couple suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The CHPD classified the case as a murder-suicide and stated that there was no ongoing threat to the community.
