An arson investigation is underway following a grass fire in west-central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A fire that broke out Monday in west Fresno is currently being investigated as arson.

According to the Fresno Fire Department, someone started a brush fire near Bryan Avenue and Sussex Way.

The fire burned for several hours and threatened surrounding buildings.

22 firefighters were able to bring the flames under control, but fortunately no buildings were damaged.
