Atlanta police investigating woman killed in shooting on Interstate 20 – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Department is investigating a highway shooting that left a woman dead.

Police said officers responded to a local hospital around 5:52 a.m. to a report that someone had been shot.

When they arrived on scene, police learned that a 34-year-old woman had been taken by car to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the woman died, according to APD.

Investigators responded to a location on the Interstate 20 Eastbound Expressway where it meets northbound I-75 and I-85 to further investigate and learn more about what led to the incident, police said with.

According to police, the investigation is still ongoing. The victim has not been identified.
