Summer is almost over, and American craft breweries are responding with an exciting list of new beers you’ll want to have near you.

An everyday sour We are sweet To (Bend, OR) – 10 Barrel Brewing is rightly known for its big, bold IPAs, but it also offers a range of kettle sours, and there’s one award winner we particularly like.

Personally brewed by 10 Barrel’s Innovation Team Leader Tonya Cornett – this year’s winner of the Russell Schehrer Prize for Innovation in craft brewing, 10 Barrel shredding Cucumber sour is a crisp and refreshing kettle sour with 5% alcohol that appeals to every palate, but especially to sour newbies.

Large (Seattle, WA) – In 1981, Redhook Brewery was founded in a converted transmission shop in Ballard, laying the foundation for Seattle’s craft beer movement. And Redhook is still going strong, making one of the most reliable IPAs in the country.

A tribute to the brewery’s original locations Large Ballard Imperial IPA is a STRONG 8.6% ABV India Pale Ale that more than lives up to its name with its powerful and aggressive hop profile, deep golden consistency and crisp finish.

A cut (Hershey, PA) – Tröegs Independent Brewing has a new bottling that will join the rotating Once-a-year seriesa special offering line that includes cult beers such as Mad Elf, Nugget Nectar and Nimble Giant.

A reference to the second-harvest hop method, in which farmers cut back extra hop shoots to increase the harvest. Tröeg’s Second Cut Mango Double IPA is a strong India Pale Ale with 8.5% alcohol content, a velvety smooth hop profile and persistent fresh mango notes.

“We’re always looking for new flavors for our seasonal beers,” explains Tröeg’s co-founder and brewmaster John Trogner. “Over the years, First Cut has become a cult classic, so we thought we could create something bigger and bolder for those fans.”
