Atlanta police search for shooter, avoid area

ATLANTA – Police are investigating a shooting in the 2200 block of College Avenue in the Oakhurst neighborhood.

Area 6 officers responded to a shooting call shortly after 2 p.m.

According to Atlanta police, a 32-year-old man was shot and killed. He was alert and breathing when they arrived and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

It appears the victim may have participated in an exchange of gunfire before being injured. Police are still searching for the shooter and are asking citizens to avoid the area of ​​2227 College Ave. NE at the moment.

This includes Sisson Ave. NE, Wisteria Way NE, Browning St. NE, Clifford Ave. NE and Murray Hill Ave. BORN.
