Buffalo Bills’ Von Miller touts milestone in injury recovery during OTA practice

Von Miller is already doing better today. than it was a year ago.

The decorated Buffalo Bills defensive end, who took time to rebound from the torn ACL that ended his 2022 season, is participating in voluntary Phase 3 OTA workouts without a knee brace.

“So far I feel good. I’ve been training without a knee brace – that’s something I just couldn’t do last year,” Miller said Tuesday in Orchard Park.

Miller, 35, who has enjoyed a Hall of Fame-worthy career, is optimistically entering his third season as Bill.

“I just kept working and working on my knee. I think everyone revolves around my health, how my knee feels,” said Miller, who recorded 123.5 sacks in 173 season games regular.

In his first year after signing with Buffalo, Miller had 8.0 sacks in over 10 games before suffering a torn ACL on Thanksgiving 2022 in Detroit. Miller remained on the physically unable to perform list until Week 5 in 2023.

Miller struggled to gain traction throughout the regular season. He was credited with only three tackles and three quarterback hits in 12 regular season games.

“I think my last three games of the season – Miami, Pittsburgh and KC – were my best games of the year. I hate that I waited until that point, but that’s exactly what it took.” , Miller said.

Bills executives appear to have confidence in Miller, especially after he intentionally reworked his contract to create salary cap space.
