Rural highway in North Texas closed due to police operation – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Granbury officials say U.S. Highway 377 near downtown is closed in both directions due to police activity.

The closure will occur between Texas 144 and Hill Boulevard and includes a section of the east-west road that crosses the Brazos River.

Highway 377 is the main artery through Granbury and one of the few that crosses the river. The Pearl Street crossing remains open.

Further details of the situation involving police have not yet been confirmed, but a photo appears to show the accident scene in front of a house on the highway.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
