Three local charities, the Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Grady Health System, will receive a total of $250,000 to promote youth development and healthcare initiatives in Georgia through at the 9th Annual Atlanta Gas Light Charity Golf Tournament.

The donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia will benefit the 1,000 children participating in their after-school programs. For more than 80 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia have provided young people with a safe place where they can learn and grow while having fun.

“Our clubs are a place where great futures are being made every day,” said Phillip Bryant, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia. “This donation will help us continue to offer our nationally recognized programs during critical hours outside of school.” »

Funds donated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will go toward life-saving research for the hospital’s young patients. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a leading children’s hospital offering more than sixty pediatric specialties and programs.

Tournament proceeds donated to Grady Health System will help fund their daily operations. More than 850,000 patients visited Grady Memorial Hospital or one of its neighborhood health centers in 2023.
