Shooting at southeast Atlanta apartment complex, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A person was shot and killed at a southeast Atlanta apartment complex Sunday night, police said.

Atlanta police said they responded around 7:10 p.m. to a report of a person shot at the Villages at South River apartment complex at 875 Conley Road.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found “a male with a gunshot wound.” Grady emergency medical personnel took the victim to the hospital in stable condition.

Police said their preliminary investigation indicates that “two male suspects appear to be involved in the shooting,” but they left the scene before officers arrived.

Detectives are trying to figure out what led to the shooting.
