Rape: Jaipur man arrested for raping a minor at Ajmer railway station | Ajmer News

Ajmer: The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Wednesday arrested a man from Jaipur’s Kanakpura area in connection with the rape of a minor girl at Ajmer railway station on Tuesday. An 11-year-old girl was discovered in a train coach in the courtyard of Ajmer railway station on Tuesday morning. The GRP found her injured and traumatised at 4 am. It soon became clear that she had been sexually assaulted. The survivor was immediately taken to JLN Hospital for medical treatment. The medical board confirmed that she had been raped and severely beaten by the accused. The girl and her family had arrived in Ajmer from Madhya Pradesh and fell asleep on platform 4 while waiting for their train. The accused allegedly kidnapped the girl, took her to the empty coach and raped her while her family was sleeping. The GRP launched a search operation after the survivor’s parents filed a complaint. Sources in the GRP said the suspect has been arrested and certain details are being verified. The suspect was tracked using his phone’s location data. On Wednesday, the Congress women’s organisation submitted a memorandum to the governor demanding improved security for women and girls in the state.
