71-year-old Titusville woman dies after head-on collision, police say

TITUSVILLE, Florida. – A 71-year-old woman died Tuesday afternoon after a head-on collision in Titusville, police said.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Barna Avenue and Knox McRae Drive, police said.

The 71-year-old woman – identified as Gloria Jean Graham of Titusville – was driving a black 2021 Chevrolet Equinox southbound on Barna Avenue, a news release said. Graham entered the northbound lane of Barna Avenue and the Equinox was struck head-on by a red 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven northbound by a 55-year-old Titusville woman, the news release said.

Graham was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead around 2 p.m., police said.

The 55-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the press release said.

No further injuries were reported.

Titusville Police are still investigating the accident.
