It’s Pride Month and Houston’s culinary scene is in full swing with special offerings celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community. From restaurants to bakeries and bars, there are a range of offerings that not only delight the taste buds but also support important causes.

Upper Kirby Mexican Restaurant is partnering with the Montrose Center for Pride Month. They donate 20% of customer checks to support the Montrose Center, when customers reserve their Pride donation table through Resy or by phone.

Chapman & Kirby is hosting two Pride events this month. On June 15, there will be a Pride-themed drag brunch for $35 per person, followed by a free after-party. Then, on June 29, it hosts a free Pride Parade benefiting the Montrose Center and Grace’s Place, featuring live DJs, burlesque performances, a tattoo artist, a glitter bar, themed drinks, a pride market and even more.

This limited-time treat features a soft dough filled with tropical mango passion fruit diplomate cream, topped with whipped cream, mango passion fruit shell and rainbow decor.

The Houston bakery is offering a variety of Pride-themed desserts throughout the month, including the “Pride Slice” featuring vanilla cake with rainbow buttercream, butter cookies and Pride-themed cupcakes, Pride chocolate-covered pretzels and petit fours squares. A portion of proceeds from the sale of Pride Cookies will be donated to the Woodlands Pride Organization and the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
