It’s Pride Month and Houston’s culinary scene is in full swing with special offerings celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community. From restaurants to bakeries and bars, there are a range of offerings that not only delight the taste buds but also support important causes.

Upper Kirby Mexican Restaurant is partnering with the Montrose Center for Pride Month. They donate 20% of customer checks to support the Montrose Center, when customers reserve their Pride donation table through Resy or by phone.

Chapman & Kirby is hosting two Pride events this month. On June 15, there will be a Pride-themed drag brunch for $35 per person, followed by a free after-party. Then, on June 29, it hosts a free Pride Parade benefiting the Montrose Center and Grace’s Place, featuring live DJs, burlesque performances, a tattoo artist, a glitter bar, themed drinks, a pride market and even more.

During Pride Month, the bakery and cafe chain will offer the Pride Cream Puff at all Common Bond Bistro & Bakery and On-The-Go locations. This limited-time treat features a soft dough filled with tropical mango passion fruit diplomate cream, topped with whipped cream, mango passion fruit shell and rainbow decor.

HOUSTON PRIDE GUIDE: Celebrate with brunch, baseball and two downtown festivals and parades

The Houston bakery is offering a variety of Pride-themed desserts throughout the month, including the “Pride Slice” featuring vanilla cake with rainbow buttercream, butter cookies and Pride-themed cupcakes, Pride chocolate-covered pretzels and petit fours squares. A portion of proceeds from the sale of Pride Cookies will be donated to the Woodlands Pride Organization and the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.

Flight Club Houston is celebrating Pride Month with its Pride Cocktail and Five-Tier Rainbow Cake available all month long. Flight Club is committed to donating 100 percent of profits to the Montrose Center.

Throughout Pride Month, the new Montrose Cocktail Bar will be serving Lavender Blair for $14. $1 from every drink sold supports Montrose Grace Place, which helps young people aged 13 to 24 in precarious situations by providing them with meals, essential services and long-term supportive relationships.

The New York delicatessen is celebrating Pride with its five-layer Rainbow Cake. This 10-inch, 12-inch-tall round delight can be enjoyed by the slice for $10.95 or pre-ordered as a whole cake for $55.95, serving up to 12 people (24-hour notice required) .

Lyric Market is hosting a Pride Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 29. Guests can enjoy Pride-inspired cocktails at the Rainbow Tap Wall, with $1 off each drink benefiting the Montrose Center. The event will feature festive decorations, a DJ performing in the Lyric Plaza and special offers from eight restaurant concepts. Additionally, guests can start their day with a free yoga session led by Don Babers of Socially Fit at 10:10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear their most colorful outfit.

Snooze AM Eatery is celebrating Pride all June long with colorful Pride pancakes. 25 cents from every Pride pancake sold will support Snooze’s partnership with The Trevor Project, aimed at ending suicide among LGBTQ youth, with a minimum donation commitment of $25,000.

Three Brothers Bakery is partnering with the Montrose Center for June’s Cookies for a Cause, offering Royal Pride Frosted Cookies; 50% of profits will be donated to the Center, a community hub for Houston’s LGBTQ community.
