“Let me say for the record that whoever sexually harassed me is now dead,” she began, half-jokingly. “You’re so old!”

“Would you say you have been sexually harassed throughout your career?” Cohen followed.

“Oh yeah! Oh, sure. Yes. Every day. I mean, very often. Especially when I started,” Chung replied. “I’m actually proud of CBS and NBC for just acting quickly because I think some people might be victims of hasty actions, but these two seemed to, uh… the reports about them were exaggerated.” And I was excited about it.” Moment for women.

Both Lauer and Rose were fired weeks apart last fall after allegations of workplace sexual misconduct on their respective morning shows became public.

“I’m sorry, but that’s all I should say,” Chung concluded with a nervous laugh.

Chung worked in broadcast news, starting as a correspondent for “CBS Evening News” in the 1970s and since then holding positions at NBC, ABC, CNN and MSNBC. She and Povich have been married since 1984 and have one child together.
