Houston captain Héctor Herrera scored his first goal of the season to open the scoring in the match against SKC, and Ibrahim Aliyu found the winner with his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 78th .^th minute.

Houston has scored more points on the road (nine) than at home (eight) so far this season, a fact Austin will need to be aware of Wednesday night. Like the April 20 match, this could once again prove to be a low-scoring encounter. Houston’s 11 goals conceded are tied for the fewest in the Western Conference, while their 11 goals scored are the fewest in the conference.
