Reed Sheppard dominates Rockets again, crushes Wizards in NBA Summer League

Reed Sheppard continues to show the world why he was the third overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft.

In his second NBA Summer League game, Sheppard scored 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting, along with six rebounds, seven assists and five steals as the Houston Rockets earned a 109-91 victory over the Washington Wizards.

On Friday, Sheppard scored 23 points, four rebounds, five assists and three blocks in his NBA debut.

If he continues to post these impressive stats, Sheppard has a strong chance of winning Summer League MVP.

With two impressive games in a row, Sheppard could potentially compete for Rookie of the Year honors heading into the NBA season, in which Kentucky has only had one player win the award, Karl-Anthony Towns in the 2015-16 NBA season.

If Sheppard can continue his success from Summer League and his rookie season, he will be a name many will not forget in the near future.

Sheppard and the Rockets will be back in action starting Monday at 6:15 p.m. ET against the Detroit Pistons on NBATV.
