19-year-old dirt biker dead after accident: Akron police

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Police say one person was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Akron Friday night.

A news release said officers were called to a crash at Nesmith Lake Boulevard and Manchester Road around 11:31 p.m. involving a white Chevrolet truck, an ATV and a dirt bike.

According to investigators, witnesses reported that the dirt bike and ATV were traveling in the wrong traffic area.

According to police, the driver of the dirt bike, a 19-year-old man, was found unconscious and later died.

The 21-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General for evaluation.

According to Akron police, this incident remains under investigation.
