Police search for disguised thief in Ellington

WALLINGFORD, Connecticut (WTNH) – State police are asking for help in identifying a man who disguised himself as an Amazon delivery driver to steal delivered packages.

The theft was captured on a surveillance camera in Ellington on June 15. Fed Ex delivered three iPhones to 48 Pinnacle Road and within two minutes the suspect drove up in a white mid-size SUV.

The suspect exited the vehicle and appears to be a Hispanic male with braided hair, wearing black pants, a black hoodie, tan shoes, an Amazon vest, and a blue surgical mask over his face.

As he approached the home, the suspect was carrying an empty box and a cell phone. He pretended to deliver the empty box and took the iPhones from the porch. He then ran to the white SUV and drove south on Pinnacle Road.
