2 Metro Atlanta Volleyball Clubs Win Big at AAU Nationals

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Recently, more than 117,000 athletes and coaches, representing all 50 states, including Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, competed in the Junior Women’s and Men’s Amateur Volleyball National Championships Athletic Union (AAU).

The 25-day event is expected to host 5,865 teams across 67 distinct divisions and is the largest sporting event ever held in Orlando.

Only two Georgia clubs are returning home with championship hardware: Roswell’s A5 Pure Volleyball Club and Cartersville 575 Volleyball Club.

A5 has won six titles, including three in the highest and most competitive division.

Cartersville 575’s 14-1 Jeff team went undefeated 14-0. They also won the 14 A national title.

The next round for ages 15 and over is underway. The tournament will end on July 7.
