Pedestrian hit and killed early Wednesday morning in George County: MHP

GEORGE COUNTY, Mississippi (WKRG) – A pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 63 in George County early Wednesday morning, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

MHP officials said police were called to the scene around 5:15 a.m.

Officers observed a vehicle traveling north on the highway when it struck a pedestrian south of Cooks Corner.

According to official information, the driver stopped. MHP is continuing its investigation.
