Arlene Slater, 65, of Atlanta

Mrs. Arlene Slater, 65, of Atlanta, Michigan, made her final journey around the sun on June 6, 2024 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 12, 1958, to the late Carl and Essie (Caudill) Mullins. She married her husband, David Slater, on August 20, 2011, and together the couple celebrated 13 years of marriage before his passing. Formerly of Red Oak, they have resided in Atlanta for five years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Comins. She loved fishing and going to the casino. We miss Arlene and will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Slater of Atlanta; children, Melissa (Kevin) Pomeroy of Mio; Dylan (Summer) Slater of Atlanta; grandchildren, Ricky, Brandon, Alex, Eric, Alana, Colin, Claire, Quinn, Jaelyn and Emery; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Essie Mullins; son, Ricky Mullins; and his daughter, Paula Krantz.

Funeral services for Mrs. Slater will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow services at Avery Township Cemetery, Atlanta, where Arlene will be laid to rest.
