I wouldn’t be where I am without Bills QB

After being traded from the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans this offseason, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs has no ill will toward his former quarterback.

Diggs told reporters Tuesday that Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ star signal-caller, was still “my guy” and played a big role in his career.

“He really embraced me, he kind of had that Southern hospitality,” Diggs said. “So for me, he embraced me and spent a lot of time, and I probably wouldn’t be here without him.”

Diggs arrived in Buffalo in 2020 after spending the first five years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings. He immediately developed a connection with Allen, recording career highs of 127 catches and 1,535 receiving yards in their first year as teammates. He finished with over 1,000 yards in each of his four years with the Bills, and he and Allen helped the team establish themselves as one of the AFC’s top contenders.

Diggs will now catch passes from CJ Stroud, who is coming off a stellar first year in the league in which he earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. The two will try to help a surging Texas team compete for a spot in Super Bowl 59 this season.
